Introducing
The Anni Vanderbeek Collection
This collection is inspired by the interiors of early 2000s rom-coms we all know and love—Bridget Jones’s Diary, Notting Hill, Love Actually.
But rather than recreating the past, we’re capturing the feeling those spaces gave us.
These colors are made for real homes. Homes filled with art from the Tate Modern, handcrafted treasures, and marks on the wall marking how tall everyone’s grown. Where sculpture lives beside cereal boxes, and sunlight lands softly on a stack of half-read books.
It’s not about perfection—it’s about personal connection.
It’s not about being trendy—it’s about being true. The tones are layered, painterly, and meant to age beautifully alongside you.

A Conversation with Anni Vanderbeek

Hi, my name is Anni Vanderbeek.
I’m an interior designer drawn to creating soulful, emotionally layered spaces that make you feel something the moment you walk in. I’m inspired by the warmth and lived-in charm of British romantic comedies — homes that feel nostalgic, cozy, and beautifully imperfect.
Much of my design work is shared on social media, where I bring color stories to life and show how thoughtful details can transform a room. I love designing spaces that are romantic yet grounded, practical yet full of personality — homes that grow richer with memories, morning light, laughter, and everyday living.
I would say my design style is soulful. My goal is to create spaces that make you feel something. Spaces where memories are made, where you remember the scent, and where you instantly feel at ease.
I’ve always been drawn to the interiors in British romantic comedies. Everyone talks about the Nancy Meyers aesthetic, but I’ve always loved the Richard Curtis feeling. Those homes feel lived in. They’re warm, layered, slightly imperfect in the best way. I wanted to build a color story that captured that kind of coziness and emotional depth.
I was born in England, and some of my favorite childhood memories are from running around my grandfather’s Victorian home with all my cousins. It wasn’t decorated to be perfect. It was decorated for life. British rom-coms remind me of that feeling. The homes in those films feel real, nostalgic, and full of personality.
I wanted colors that felt romantic but grounded. Bradshaw has depth and mood, but it still feels inviting. Blushed Silk has this softness that warms a space without overwhelming it. I’m always thinking about how a room feels in the morning light and at night. Those two colors create that emotional shift beautifully.
My stepdad owned a faux finishing company, so growing up there were always sample boards and different finishes happening in our home. I watched walls transform constantly. Whenever I have a vision now, my mom and stepdad help me bring it to life, and over the years I’ve picked up a few tricks of the trade along the way.
Motherhood has made me design for real life. I want spaces that are improved by living in them. Tea rings, toys, imperfect moments. I don’t want a house that feels too precious to touch. I want a home that feels warm, forgiving, and layered with memory.
I wanted the collection to reflect not just how I want homes to feel, but how I want to create them. Up Paint’s recycled formula gives leftover paint a second life, which felt aligned with my philosophy. If we’re designing homes meant to last and hold memories, the materials we use should be thoughtful too.
