WHERE TO USE
Up® Interior Acrylic Latex EggShell is a versatile finish that appears flat when viewed directly, and slightly lustrous when viewed at an angle. Ideal for living rooms, bedrooms, home offices and more. Use on properly prepared plaster, drywall, wood, masonry, plywood and properly primed metal.
SURFACE PREPARATION
Remove loose paint; wash previously painted surfaces to remove dirt, grease, oil and other contaminants. Thoroughly rinse the washed areas and allow to dry completely.
Before Painting: Scuff sand glossy surfaces. Repair imperfections and sand smooth. Remove all dust with a damp cloth, allow to dry. Allow new stucco, plaster and masonry to cure for 30 days before priming with a 100% acrylic primer. For best performance with heavy stains and watermarks, use an acrylic stain blocking primer.
COVERAGE
Covers approximately 400-450 square feet per gallon depending on the surface texture, porosity and application method. Certain colors may require more than one coat for complete hide. Designer White is a crisp, classic white that offers superior hide with one coat coverage. The Ultra White Tint Base can be used, as is, when a cleaner, brighter white is desired, but may require more than one coat.
APPLICATION
Stir thoroughly with a circular lifting motion. Thinning is not recommended, but if necessary, use clean water sparingly. Apply liberally from dry areas into wet and finish with smooth, even vertical strokes. Do not apply when air, surface or product temperature is below 50°F (10°C). Do not apply in temperatures above 90°F (32°C). For best results, use a top quality polyester or nylon brush, appropriate length nap roller (3/8” length for most surfaces), pad applicator or sprayer. To assure color uniformity, purchase enough paint to complete the job and intermix all containers. For best results, allow paint to dry for 2-4 weeks before washing.
DRYING TIME
Dries to touch in 1/2 hour at 77°F and 50% humidity. May be recoated in 2-3 hours under the same atmospheric conditions. High humidity and low temperatures will extend the drying time. Deep colors tinted from the bases may require extra time to thoroughly dry.
CLEAN UP
Clean up tools and spills immediately with warm, soapy water. Leftover product can be stored at room temperature for future use.
